5" x 5" Paint Horse
Hi Everyone! This is quite a small piece for me, not a true miniature but..wow, needed extra strong glasses!!! Anyway, it is 5" x 5" and it is for the Ritzville Western Art Show in May. Each of we 50 or so artists were to create a signature piece in this size, which will be mounted all together and auctioned off the night of the artist's reception....Thanks for looking!
Sean

Wow, Sean, that is pretty small, and the detail for that size is outstanding! You really captured a great feeling in this drawing...I assume it's graphite? The mane is beautifully done. Great work, and have fun with the auction!

Thanks Jenna and Deb!
Yep, Jenna, Graphite on Strath Bristol Vellum! Thank you so much for the thumbs up! It was pointed out to me that I left a bit of a halo around the left side of the subject, so going to fix that for sure!

Sean, great job on this one. While it may not qualify as a miniture, the headache one can achieve when working this small always qualifies as major. That flowing mane makes the whole thing work for me.

Lots of fired up energy with the eyes and blowing mane. Excellent!

What a nice piece. I would have never guessed it was so small with all that detail.
