Use to denote nudity/mature subject matter Painters at Work

My model couldn't show up Tuesday evening for the portrait I'm working on, so I spent some time doing some gesture sketches of other painters in the room.

C & C welcome.

Re: Painters at Work

Nice sketches. So were they posing for you or do you all paint different subjects?

Thanks, Wanda. Tina, no, they weren't posing for me. Everyone in the class (a small group of about 5-6, usually) works on his/her own piece. In fact, they didn't realize I was sketching them. So, it was difficult capturing a tilt of the head or turn of the wrist as they moved from palette to canvas.

Re: Painters at Work

Nice practice, Carol. It's really hard to catch figures in motion and when it does work, the vitality that comes through beats a posed one any time. Nice to see these.
