Not sure what to say here. Probably not my best, but also not my worst. lost it alittle on the left especialy the shadowed areas. Thank you for any comments good or bad.

Grumbacher student grade watercolors.

These colors are a wow! The shadow area may need some work but I really think it is very vibrant and really an attention getter.

Beautiful petals. I've never seen a blue water lily but I would love to now!

There are glimpses of a lovely, deep watery background too.

It's a pretty nice painting Mark but having shown us the ref, I think maybe you'd have had more life in it if you'd gone for the warmer, brighter centre colours.
Your purples are really lovely but the warmer yellows would contrast better - IMHO
