Gotta sell this fridge to someone ...

Gotta sell the fridge to someone by jmax2013, on Flickr

My computer crashed big time. I put apple's Lion on my Mac and well, not good result.
Crashes more than Windows and that's saying something. I didn't have a full copy of
Snow Leopard so it wouldn't work, and alas, lost the disk for the os before snow leopard.

I put on Ubuntu's 11.10 on the mac but not used to it. Can't seem to find how to shrink
the images to a more biteable size.

Thus flikr

I know there are some lawful inexactitudes [ mistakes ] in the painting but the design
comes first.

First Work thru ...

Thinking about the title - maybe " Gotsta sell this fridge to somebody "

John, I like this lots, and LOVE the vee-dub! I didn't see the fridge at first, I saw the caravan (could the vee-dub PULL that?) and was too mesmerised by the car blocking the road ... One way to get prospective buyers to stop!

Thanks Jean - A v-dub pulling a van ... it always looks hopeful doesn't it? I've added a bit
more to the blue underpainting in the middle, will post it tomorrow tho.

There are certain favorite authors that I have. I always feel like the beginning of a journey when I sit down to read them. Your paintings do the same for me: concrete enough to get me started, abstract enough to allow me to roam.

Thanks, Gary

Hi John,
Wow, sounds like you have had your share of computer problems lately. I downloaded a version of Linux once but soon after started having some problems with my computer so off it came...and probably just in time.
Cool painting and the title is good too. Your foliage is exceptional work John.

Thanks Gary much appreciated ... thanks Ron - I don't mind Linux, Ubuntu seems the
easiest to learn and its good if you need an emergency os. I can't get to the Mac shop in
Bris Vegas because its waaay over the other side of town at the moment so until I can get
there it will have to be Linux. My foliage brushes are done with my ruined brushes ...
never throw them away. Amazing little things for doing grass and trees.

Thanks Vlad ... either could be a change of title or that's why the fridge hasn't sold? Thanks
John much appreciated.

Your stuff is always so much fun, a delight to look at. I love your colour harmonies and shape designs.
