My second Bird with the oil pastels

This is also based on a photo from the RIL. I already did a pen and ink piece coloured with coloured pencils with the same bird, but wanted to have a triy with the oil pastels.
Comments and Critique are always welcome!

Nice little hummingbird Ulla. What kind of oil pastels are you using?

Ulla, don't forget to let us know size, brand of oil pastels, and surface painted on. If you also painted or drew this with pen or pencils and posted it to another forum, you can also link us to the image in an other forum.

Re: My second Bird with the oil pastels

Thank you Hall and Reeta for looking and commenting! Hal, it is about the size of Din-A5. Coloured pastel paper. The oil pastels are Jaxon, made by a company called Honsell. They are student grade. I got a set of 24 oil pastels because I wanted to try out whether I like them or not. I now plan to build up an additional stock of Caran d'Ache neopastels.

Nice himmer, Ulla. I just put out our hummingbird feeder here.
You are really going to like the Caran D'ache neos.

Ulla, this is a nice painting with a bright blue background which sets the bird off nicely.
