Business Card Exchange
Just throwing out a thought here:
My hometown has a public gallery that allows artists to leave business cards on their entrance table. As long as it's art related, it's okay. Of course I always maintain a few of my own there (no nibbles, but what the heck).
It occurred to me that there may be other galleries doing this, and maybe between artists, cards could be exchanged and placed in other galleries on a 'buddy' system, as in, I place your cards, you place mine.
I'd be willing to do this for a few (2 to 3 artists at a time); obviously I don't want to do anything huge that might annoy the gallery and cause them to change their policy.
Right now, just making the suggestion and seeing what is said. I have not worked out or thought through the logistics, although it seems like one could simply send a few back and forth via snail mail.
PS. Any exchanges (should they happen) should be arranged through the private mail.
