Been trying to upload photos.. Tried smaller photos, one at a time.. but I keep getting this error..

Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127

Command:

"/usr/bin/mogrify" +profile "*" -size 75x100 -quality 70 -geometry 75x100 -unsharp 10 '/var/www/wetcanvas.com/RefLib/data2/39/thumbs/benchsmall.jpg'

This is a recurrence of an intermittent fault which has been experienced for some time.

I suggest you try again tomorrow.

Seems like everytime I'm about to host the WDE, the RIL has hiccups. Getting same error as Catherine. Dagnabbit!

I think I joined about 2 yrs ago +/- and the RIL was out-of-order. Thought by now it should be operating again. Thought wrong, getting this stuff .... /var/www/wetcanvas.com/RefLib/uploads/987412: Error creating directory (check permissions). Please notify the System Administrator.
Some day, maybe I will share my photos, but I am not patient enough to do one at a time and then they may or may not go thru!

Such a shame.... what a wonderful resource for us all.... please, please fix!

Oh goody, another 'glitch'. I too am getting Error 127. Can't load an avatar, now I can't load RILs either. Gah.

Both photos loaded when I posted them on the Oily Rag thread, btw.

Sorry Marcia - it's the temperament again playing up!

Just have to keep trying I'm afraid until the RIL decides to p;ay nicely again

BTW - I too have had probs, uploading an avatar (as have many others) and one thing we found was to make the size 59x59p instead of 60x60 - might still work

Thanks CM, persistence paid off and as you see, my avatar finally loaded. I did try making the avatar smaller before, the uploader just insisted on being persnickety.

I also have had better luck with the image uploader (not the RIL one) if the images are at least 100kb smaller than what it says is max before it downsizes them automatically.

Marcia - from files I've loaded I suspect the image re-sizer in WC works mainly by the 800pixel command!

I tried probably two weeks ago to load two pictures of a black Labrador and it came up with an error, and now it says there are two images in my queue. But when I try to open them up it says '' system experienced an unrecoverable error.''

And if I try to upload them again it says

Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127

Command:

Help.

Annie - this again, is something we cannot do anything about unfortunately ..... I've had 11 images stuck in the Q before now - eventually, some little gremlin approves them (not us!) and they go through.

If you do keep trying and duplicates show up, please just let us know and if you can provide us with links, they can quickly be deleted

I just tried to upload my 1st photo to the RIL. No success. I got the message below. Not sure if this means the photo was or was not posted. Could size be an issue? The photo is 2.1Mbyte.

I think the RIL is a wonderful idea. I appreciate all those who have made their photos available and would like to contribute something in return.

Just uploaded a photo to the RIL. It took forever to process but eventuall went through OK.

I tried to upload a 2nd photo. I got the exact same error message again (Error 127, unable to create thumbnail).

The Upload page shows that I have 2 photos in my queue and the space used is roughly equal to that of the 2 photos I uploaded (even though I got an error message when uploading both).

When I click on the "2" (number of photos in my queue), I get an error message saying: "We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later." Now I'm confused as to whether I have managed to upload anything or not. Think I'll give up for now and wait to see what happens when they try to process my queue. If I get some time, I might look around for additional info on uploading to the RIL to see if I may be missing something.
