A couple of flower favorites

I guess this is my favorite dogwood image. It's a clean and neat blossom.



I have always liked sunflowers and the bee makes this a favorite of mine.

I like them both but I am a fan of the fowers with the black backgrounds. I have not been able to achieve that effect as of yet. I bought some black velvet last week and think I should give it a try. Were you indoors our outdoos when you took the dogwood shot? The light coming from above left is a nice touch instead of light shining directly AT the flower. It creates interesting shadows giving the photo dimension.

The sunflower image is a wonderful composition with vivid colors. Of course this is great to but my favorite is the dogwood for its simplicity and beauty

Both are excellent; I think I slightly prefer the sunflowers.

One thing I like a lot is the strong diagonal (in both).
