Thank you Sue! I am using water soluble graphite. After I apply the graphite I apply water lightly with a wet brush (not dripping wet). Then it doesn't seem to smear.
Thanks Lorna! It has been a change, something different, but I don see myself giving up ink for graphite any time soon.

Wow Diane. What beautiful work. I see there are so many ways to approach this scratch art,from black to white, white to black and everything in between. Are you using water soluable black pencils and is this better then ink (sunni ink)?
