Back From Kauai
Hello Everyone,
I just returned from my visit to Kauai for my show at the Ship Store Gallery in Kapaa. It was a very productive show that ran for 8 days and allowed me to paint in the gallery each day and meet both locals and tourists. There was a reception on both Friday and Saturday nights and over 200 people came through the gallery, most of them on Saturday night. I sold three paintings. In fact they were the three largest on display.
I've included a couple of pictures from the show as well as a photo of the new painting I fininished and left to hang in the gallery.
Thanks for looking.

Wonderful, Ron. Congrats on the sales.
Love the colours in your new one, and that foreground rock is just terrific.

Re: Back From Kauai
Hi Ron,
Wow, very cool seeing your work in the gallery Ron. Looks really good over there. I'm not telling Linda about this or she'll want to move back to Hawaii! Haha....in fact, we stopped off in Goleta for Hawaiian BBQ for dinner tonight. Way to go on the sales during the show and that new piece is a stunner. Well done Ron!

Re: Back From Kauai
Brian - Thanks so much. Yes everyone really did have a good time, but then that's what champaigne and Mai Tais will do to people. Sure does loosen them up from their wallets.
Marty - Thanks, I too, really liked the way the rocks turned out as did the two gallery owners. I've always struggled with rocks and now I think I have found a technique that results in convincing lava rocks.
Ron - Thanks a bunch. I think Linda may have a really good idea there. You can always find a Hawaiian BBQ somewhere on every island.
Gianlucca - Thank you very much. Yes this was the best experience I have had since I started painting seriously. Thanks again!

Re: Back From Kauai
Hi Ron: Welcome back! Congratulations on the huge success of your show and reception. Three (large) sales in an 8 day period speaks volumes for the quality of your paintings and your reputation as an artist. The gallery has done a great job of representing your work and driving people to the receptions. Your comments to Gianlucca says it all - very happy for you.
Your latest work is just beautiful - the hillsides are gorgeous!
