Weekly Photo Scavenger Hunt - Week #11, April 14-20, 2012
Weekly Photo Scavenger Hunt - Week #11, April 14 -20, 2012
Shutterbuggers ...
"What Time Is It?" It is time to start a new Photo Scavenger Hunt. Thank you all for your interesting contributions last week. Let's see how inventive and creative you can be as we try for three weeks in a row. Just a reminder, if you would like to choose the topic for Week 12, just PM me before midnight on Friday.
Photo Scavenger Hunt
Here's the preamble about it ...
************************************************** *****
About the scavenger hunt. The way this works is like this:
1. One person starts a specific thread for it each week. We can switch off each week if it takes off well.
2. The thread-starting poster asks the Moderator (Oldthumbs) to sticky it (via PM)
3. Each week there will be an objective - a topic if you like - to shoot. It will probably not be something normal but will be something wacky that would be open to individual interpretation.
4. Y'all shoot to your vision of the topic and post your pics. One pic per post and try not to flood the thread with too many pictures so that others don't get left out.
5. Then we all get to oooh and ahhh over them and make nasty comments (just kidding )
6. The purpose of the whole exercise is to help us look at things and make our brains think in different ways so that we stretch and challenge ourselves as photographers.
7. Silly and creative is GOOD. Unusual is wonderful. Totally off the wall and outside the box is expected.
************************************************** *******
Are you ready? Wanna play? Everyone is welcome!
THIS WEEK'S TOPIC IS ...
"Battery Operated"
GO!
You have until midnight Friday, April 20, 2012 to post an image on the topic by replying to this thread - (keeping it all in one thread and one place for ease, I hope). After that, we will change topics in a new thread, however comments on this week's images can continue to be posted in this thread.
Have fun!
Looking forward to seeing your photos,
LORELL

Love those old radios! I have a 1962 Sunoco pump radio that still works.
Perfect timing on this subject!
I happened to be at a electric airplane fly in today at the local high school.

Dudley,
Nice roll (if that is the correct term).
Greg,
By the way, I like how you have the reflection of the trees in your SILVER WEATHER PLATE on your radio. I was trying to see if it was windy outside by the bend of the trees.

Here's an unusual luggage tag with a battery. The theory is that you put it on the first setting as your luggage is going onto the carrier for the plane and when the luggage comes out at your destination, the LED flashers in this start to rapidly flash different colors.....so you can easily identify your luggage. After thinking about this device, I thought that the TSA in most airports might segregate my luggage and call the bomb squad if they saw these flashers suddenly go off --- so I've never used it.

All below are battery operated. However, since all the batteries are dead, not a single one can answer the questions, "What Time Is It?".

Sue,
I am glad you supplied the links to show us what you did after your drilled holes into those boots. Clever idea.
