AAWwww......What a fabulous character and of course captured so beautifully by you Chammi . Is this from a photo or selection of photo's? The reason I ask is because I have a Boxer -cross and if I take a photo of him he always wants to come and investigate what I am doing, lol I can imagine this pose being caught in very much the same conditions -as you know they are a very curious....one might even say nosey breed .

I just adore the eye but I also love the little circles making up the nose texture. My guy is that colouring only his muzzle is longer -someone once said they thought he was a Ridgeback. Sorry.... for waffling on about my dog.
I guess viewing your wonderful portrait made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and made me think of Monty who is still with me but is ageing fast .

Ali. Monty sounds wonderful with his long nose. Sad to see our beloved pets growing old. This was from a photo - no ways could I get a Boxer to stand still long enough to sketch him. As you say they are very curious and push their big noses into everything. Glad this made you feel good.

This is magnificent Chammi, the reflection in the eye is outstanding as is the rest of this. Nose, muzzle, fur gloriously done and have to add never overdone to accomplish the feel of the animal whichever animal you do they are always
approachable realistically in viewing and feel. Not sure I explained that well enough but think you might know what I mean..haha

This is beautiful. I might have posted before, but I was reviewing a few posts and found this one again. I love it! Very well done in my humble opinion. The hair, the nose the eyes.. all so realistic!
