Wow, the colors on those are amazing, they popped right out.
Love to see what you could do with the neon!
We're still having pretty high winds but it seems to be settling down. Three airplanes (small ones, not big ones) were flipped over at the airport because of the winds. My power is still going off and on and off and on.
Sampson does not like being wet, he wouldn't go out for love or money yesterday. I searched all over and finally found his coat. Then he was happy and went out just fine. Silly dog.
Off to wash all the floors! Hope everyone has a good day.

Thought I would share a pretty colorful image from yesterday's trip to Detroit.
Nice colors today.
Going to Yoga now, be back to check in later.

Lorell- I love that shot of the grafitti. I sometimes photo it becacause it may be gone tomorrow.
Virginia- a doggy coat? Really? My dogs just get wet, come in, shake, then jump on the sofa or bed to finish drying off.... wish I could get them in a coat!

Re: Shutterbug Daily, Monday, April 16 2012
My lab is like that, he was having a great time in the rain. But Sammy he does not like being wet at all. He fell in a river when he was little and I think I made too big of a deal of it and over coddled him afterwards.
Lorell, that is a great piece of graffiti! My one friend in Detroit says they're having really bad winds today.
I just missed what could have been a great shot, I was watching the woodpecker at my bird feeder when a sparrow come zooming and ran right into him and knocked him off, and I was just thinking what? when I realized the sparrow was being chased by a big hawk. The hawk was stopped by all the bushes behind my bird feeder. It let out a heck of a shriek. My camera was close by but not close enough, it all happened so fast. I'm kicking myself for missing it.

My daisy also hated the rain...I'd have to carry her out the door and take her to the evergreen trees so she would at least pee, otherwise she would just hold it in for days if she could.

Re: Shutterbug Daily, Monday, April 16 2012
Virginia,
The picture of Sampson is adorable and the idea that he wouldn't go out without his rain coat is a hoot.
Yes, we had extremely high winds today. The electricity went out twice and my car was being thrown all over the highway today when I went to visit a friend that lives north of me.
We all have had those moments when we wish we had our cameras in our hands to catch those once in a lifetime shots. Anyway, it is hard to stop thinking about it until you take that next great shot. And you have many of those.

Moebean,
Awwwwwwwwww, another cute puppy.
Is that a pug?
Our animals really have us trained!
Hoping for better weather tomorrow.
I want to start turning over the soil in my garden.
I plan to start my planting earlier this spring.

Re: Shutterbug Daily, Monday, April 16 2012
Lorell- feeling guilty- sitting here eating cake with fresh strawberries from the garden. had chicken breast with alfredo sauce that had fresh aspagus chopped into it with fresh chives and basil..all picked just before dinner (well- not the chicken- there is an ordinance that prevents raising poultry in city limits)
We all have those moments of wishing the camera had been ready and THERE. I have plenty of blurs when the critters moved...
I saw a young woman at school today who had the most beautiful dark skin- set off by a copper dress with a yellow blouse and a white flower in her hair. She walked and dressed like royalty, even the shoes were shiny copper. She would have made a stunning painting. Probably will never see her again. If I had my camera I would have asked her permission to take her photo... no I am not shy!
How many sunsets / sunrises do we see on the way to somewhere and not take the time to pull off the road (safely) and take a photo? As I get older I find myself stopping more than I used to..and sometimes I think of you-all. James' photos of sunrises in particular are always a reminder that beauty is always around us.

Virgina my budda is like that too. I swear that dog tiptoes when its raining! He wont go out in it unless I drag him. Now my little pomeranian couldn't care less. In fact she seems to prefer walking in puddles rather than avoid them.
