Update on the Ocelot and Silent Auction

Hello all my Scratchboard friends ;-)

We have just gotten back from a Wonderful evening last night at the lowry Park Zoo in Tampa Florida, the Gala event was sold out and a success and raised much needed funding for the zoo.

As most of you know I donated a scratchboard of an Ocelot

it had an opening bid of $250 and at the end of the auction someone went howe with him for $300, i was quite please with that and so glad that I was able to contribute to the auction and help raise alittle for the zoo. I was told by the Adminastrator that was n charge of the auction that everyone who stopped by to have a look at the Ocelot could not stop talking about it complimenting the piece and how stunning it was....now that made me feel good about my work.

Re: Update on the Ocelot and Silent Auction

Congratulations on a great evening! It would have been a steal at triple that price, so whoever got it was really lucky!

How cool is that!
Congrats and it just shows you that other (non art) folks think your work is stunning too.

Re: Update on the Ocelot and Silent Auction

I agree with Patrick...That's really an outstanding donation. And the winning bidder really did get a HUGE deal. BUT sounds like they adored it so that in its self is very satisfying and worth a whole lot. These creations are like a piece of us and you really do want whomever has it to love it with all their heart, Right?

Re: Update on the Ocelot and Silent Auction

Thank you everyone ;-)....I will probably do this again and donate a piece to there annual event next year.... I'm going to try and do one of the zoos animals for that piece...they have two beautiful young clouded leopards at the zoo that is there newest attraction if I can ever get a good shot of either of them I would love to do them as my next piece for the zoo...I figure it is a good way of getting my name and artwork reconized in the community.
