Re: Basic 101: Pre-Class Assignments and FAQs
My name is Oakenhorse. right now my main focus is my art. This is something I drew up real quick but sadly is some of my best art. I would also love to be able to draw portraits and have a drawing book filled with my favorite musicians. That would be super rad. haha.

Oakenhorse - Welcome to the classroom . I see you're more for fantasy. But the skills that are taught here can be applied to all styles.

Re: Basic 101: Pre-Class Assignments and FAQs
Good Morning, Arnoud !
I had started at WetCanvas, last time around, about the same time that you did. It's been about that long since I've drawn and will be looking forward to posting a current skill level picture soon. I am very excited to be going through the classes again; this time I hope to continue on and let the drawing take just as good shape.
I would like to simply go through the classes with no pre-conceived idea as to what track I'll vear onto.
Thank you for offering these classes!
Jester~

Re: Basic 101: Pre-Class Assignments and FAQs
Hi, I am Prabha, and I love to draw. I do freehand drawings without any grid, and correct them later for mistakes. I would like to join this class to get more formal training in drawing. Here is a picture drawn on hand made paper with 2B pencil.

Re: Basic 101: Pre-Class Assignments and FAQs
Hi All,
My name is Tavleen, 29 yrs old homemaker and passionate for painting. I am on my path to be an artist.
I have been lurking around the site for past few months but was no too active but now am ready to go.
I have been painting on and off since childhood. I do glass paintings with oil paints and mirror paintings. I have also done some sculpture work, had taken a course for few months. Also, I have learnt a unique form of painting called Tanjavur(Tanjore) paintings specific to southern parts of India. You can see my work in my facebook profile to get a glimpse of some of my recent works.
I have recently started working on canvas with watercolors and want to learn a lot. I have also started sketching.
Looking forward to learning with you all!!
Here is my "pre-class" drawings:

Re: Basic 101: Pre-Class Assignments and FAQs
Hi everyone! My name is Noémie, I'm a french Canadian (so pardon the spelling mistakes!). Since I was a kid I always loooooved painting and drawing. I always wanted to take classes but never did, so I kind of self-taught but I know I’m missing the basics. Since I work long hours (being a medical resident) I need a class I can take from home, at my own speed! This seems to be the perfect thing for me!
Here’s my «pre-class» drawing : A pastel drawing of Johnny Depp and two cartoonish drawings from my imagination! I would really like to illustrate children’s books someday!

Re: Basic 101: Pre-Class Assignments and FAQs
Hi! I just discovered this thread today, so I'm going to throw myself under the bus and join in. I've never taken a drawing class and just took a watercolor workshop with Charles Reid here in Reno. OMG can that man DRAW, let alone paint. Here's my pre-class drawing submission, and in the words of the late, great Jackie Gleason, "Awayyy we go!"
