Kay.. fantastic theme.. I can trip down memories lane and conjure up the gateway to my Uncles farmhouse.. with a little repositioning of plants
Now just have to find the time...

Re: The Plant Parade: a Forum Project April 2012
I really love this theme. Funny thing is I immediately knew exactly what I was going to do. It is a garden gate I photographed on a vacation in Michigan. Have been working on it and now just occurred to me that there are not flowers. Just the gate and some trees. I might just have to add some flowers........somewhere.

Good! So glad to be able to generate some excitement here. Mine is about 1/3finished and I really like the steel vertical elements of the gate contrasted with the roses soft texture.

Kay - I thought I'd just check in to see what everyone was up to. I then suddenly remembered I hadn't even begun mine...doesn't this sound very familiar! I'll hope to get on to it this weekend.
Cheers everyone.

Re: The Plant Parade: a Forum Project April 2012
Hi all,
Kay sorry I haven't at least said thank you for such an interesting subject and the great photos to boot, seems there is always just enough going on that keeps me from doing what I love best...paint..haha But do have one started, so fingers crossed I'll be on time. I'm a tad slow sometimes..haha
Kind of making it up as I go along.
Well Happy Painting everyone, clock ticking so I'd better stop yakking and start accomplishing...see ya all later.
Hugs all round,
Elaine

Re: The Plant Parade: a Forum Project April 2012
Agnes sweetie um somehow I kind of doubt your description is really accurate..haha If anyone can handle fiddly little flowers it's Agnesgirl!!
Katherine you're almost done, Agnes onto another and I'm not even half way across my board, by now Kay is probably finished, Viv no pressure..haha
Tho I'm feeling some for sure. How's everyone else coming along?
See ya all later, Happy Painting!
Hugs all round,
Elaine

Re: The Plant Parade: a Forum Project April 2012
Elaine - I've begun mine and have now come to a shuddering halt at the gate! It's more difficult than I thought, but I'll perservere.....mine is inside my garden looking out with the gate shut....why I had to be different I'll never know ???!!!
Agnes - I'm sure your painting will be beautiful, as it always is!
Katherine - And your's will be beautiful too Katherine!
Kay - Hi there. It looks like you've generated some movement after all. Can't wait to see everyone's paintings on the 25th! I'm sure they'll all be great...mine may be the exception

Once my new carpet is laid in the sun lounge and all the furniture is back in place I might have time to paint - my fingers are itching!
