Cool The Last Judgement Linocut Triptych - WIP

I decided to do (for a final project at school) a triptych of the Last Judgement, in my own style, taking figures from Michelangelo's Last Judgement and adding some more modern images.

These prints are from linoleum plates that are 18"x24". It took me about 36 hours to carve all three.

There are spaces in the prints where it appears to be blank- the project is going to be a mixed media one, with ink drawing/washes added to it to give the figures some more depth and to add in some more 'ghostly' elements that would be too strong if printed black.

Please let me know what you think so far!

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

I'll probably have the inking and drawing added to it done by next week.

Scott.

I feel bad, I have looked at this post 3 times and never replied. No criticism, nothing clever to say, Im just completely impressed at the quality of the prints and I cant wait to see the finished works.

Wow, really great! I love your use of black and white- gives it a wonderful graphic feel.

It looks good Scott. That's quite a project. Great subject too.
