Re: Different Strokes April 2012 Challenge
Wow, so far I am learning that I have real trouble painting straight lines! It has me researching paint pens...

Re: Different Strokes April 2012 Challenge
I did my painting this afternoon, and Wowee, I've never done something so busy before! I've never done water, a cityscape or a boat either, especially one covered in plastic! I'm anxious to see on Friday what everyone did! I'll try to post mine early in the day so all of ya'll can say "oh well, mine's lots better than that so I'll upload it!" LOL! I'm still pretty new to acrylic painting! There used to be a blog called "Different Strokes for Different Folks" and it was like this challenge. The woman would post a picture, wait for all of them to come in , then post them and it was SO interesting to see all the different interpetations everyone did! I loved it! But she got busy and stopped doing it! I feel like everything I do helps me learn in some way, what I like or don't like, what I'm good at and not too good at, and how to approach things too! Like plastic wrapped yachts! LOL! Hope all of you are doing fine with it! Happy painting this week! Joan

Hi , yes you might beat me to the punch! You all over the pond are a good 6 hours ahead of me here in Texas! LOL! I'm very glad to have mine done, but now it's like waiting on Christmas to come, because I want to see everyone's painting! Remember I'll need help uploading anyway because it'll be my first thing to upload on Wet Canvas! Thanks!~Joan

Re: Different Strokes April 2012 Challenge
Margaretta, you'll just have to take a stance, aim and give the canvas both barrels! .......... ot tubes, or pots - or just throw the paint!

Re: Different Strokes April 2012 Challenge
Well I've had a try! Very unfamiliar with this sort of scene and it was quite a challenge. Thank you...it made me think.
I know nothing of harbour vessels and it's very sad that one of my boats looks like a Volksvagen Beetle on a float and the other looks like Captain Pugwash's ship.
Never mind, I'll pretend it's Margaretta Nouveau!!

Hello everyone! This is my first time entering the Different Strokes challenge and it's the first time I've done a boat or water or a cityscape in a painting! I'm anxious to see everyone's work! ~Joan
