Re: Untitled #15

There is something special about finishing a piece and feeling good about it!

Re: Untitled #15

actually there is no gold, but I undercoated it a light tan color and then stripped a little bit of the top coat with a wet cloth to give it a more distressed look. I don't know why but I love distressing my pieces!

Re: Untitled #15

mmm.. it's growing on me.. at first I didn't like it at all.. but the more I look at the more I'm liking it.. what I really like is the uneven horizon line,, the little area that goes up a bit.. it feels like a rolling ocean for me.. you get kind of lost in it. I would love to try some of these types myself.. but ...

Hi, Nice...Yes it has a Rothko feel about it...if you can manage to crop your image before posting, it really helps so that we don't see the background..and your painting will just look soooo much better, just a little tip for you

Thanks, Katie. I'll try my best to do that from now on, but I am a very forgetful person.

Re: Untitled #15

Yes, the colors and the uneven horizon line are what caught my eye immediately. I like it. It seems still but speaks volumes, if that makes any sense.
