Two for one

The first picture should be another one of my kids. I am pretty sure I did do various unpainterly things to this one So I wanted to post it here. It's 99% me and 1 percent other. BUT it's done. The second is a picture a friends daughter took when visiting reletives in India. I just loved the photo and the womens look and light, just everything about it. So it was a "I have to Paint that" picture. All comments and critiques are welcome.

Re: Two for one

Wonderful work. I love the painterly approach in the second image.

Re: Two for one

Thanks! I'm trying to get away from photo realism but when I do something for a friend that is kind of what they expect. That's why the second one was so much fun. I did it for me.
