What a wonderful group of garden sketches, Kat! Our garden is just starting to leaf out and flower, and these have inspired me to do some sketching of the garden as well.

Rainy, Joan, Leslie, Debby, Pene, Vivian, John and David, thanks for the sweet comments, and artists are welcome in my garden anytime, plus they usually get homemade cakes too. This morning I've made a batch of about 40 sour dough fruit bars, most are in the freezer, several others are on the cooling rack, and a substantial number are in our bellies already - sooo naughty, but yumbungstious.
Forgot to add this one the other day, our stunning red and white tulips that fight their way through the weeds and sparkle their springtime fiesta...

...hitched up me printer/scanner to hubbys laptop, it scans pretty good. First one some sheeps we met on our walk...

...here's another reason me paintings been on hold, I'm trying to finish me pond before the summer gets going.


I started over three years ago, and then ruptured a disc, so it was all stop. It's been a long time, but I'm finally able to continue, very carefully....

oh, wow. . . that is going to be a wonderful pond!!! I imagine it will give you much enjoyment as well as inspire you to draw while sitting by it.

Beautiful paintings, the garden one is my favorite but it looks like the first two were only watercolor, which I admire as that is not as easy to do as pen/watercolor! Nice work.

Wow, the pond looks wonderful! You are ambitious - we put a small recirculating stream in the yard a few years back and after briefly contemplating doing it myself, I decided to hire folks to do it. My bad knees and back are happy with the decision. Take it easy as you finish your project up. Oh, and your sketches since I last checked in are great as usual!

oh my, have fallen by the wayside with this journal, actually I'd forgotten about it till a friend asked me about it last week.. Everything went a bit mad back in April/may time. We have put our house, and our lovely garden on the market and are hoping to move back to the uk as soon as it sells. Yes I will be heart broken to leave it, but have parted with other beautiful gardens, and now I'm already looking forward to starting another. But the prod from my friend made me think, hey, get a few pics done 'en france' while ya still can, so I shall try and bump start this little journal again. I have also started another one, about our journey home, yeeoish, I do like t' keep busy....

thanks to all who commented on those last, ages ago entries. This is one I did yesterday morning, about 45 mins in water sol pencils on my normal format A5 fabriano 280g...
