Outburst of Colours

Did this with my new oil pastels. Some say it's a tropical flower, I think it is some kind of fireworks:

Thanks Dave for taking the time to look and comment! However I am bit irritated by your "not much better than..." - I hope it was okay that I posted it, although it was only an experiment and should have been kept better in my drawer... sometimes I wish my English was better!

Please take no offence from my remark as it was an encouragement to share whatever you are interested in sharing. Perhaps I could have said nothing better than ... except to share...

Anyway my intent was. new art tools - Joy!! Sharing what you do with new tools - more joy (shared).

I like the energy in this one and experiments are very welcome.

What Dave said is a common idiom for us which means it is difficult to find something better than, so he is saying a positive thing with that comment.

Dave and ~Jon: thanks for explaining your comment and for your encouraging words which are very much appreciated!
Actually the oil pastels have paper wrapped around them so drawing/painting with them is a cleaner job than painting with soft pastels. And I like the way they run over the paper!
