Anyone Heard of Blog.com

While looking for an alternative to blogger and wordpress I came across www.blog.com. I tried it out by putting up www.pixelpaint.blog.com and I'm sure that it's using the wordpress platform. Does anyone know if blog.com is owned by wordpress? Anyone know why no one seems to use blog.com? You'd think that with an url blog.com everyone would know about it and use it.

Re: Anyone Heard of Blog.com

I've never heard of blog.com. Looking at their website info, it seems they run ads on free accounts, and charge some pretty serious coin on Premium accounts.

I originally chose Blogger because it was user-friendly and free -- with no pre-existing ads. That may explain why I would completely overlook a service like blog.com.

For those interested, here are links describing their features:

Maybe I'm wrong, but I guess that blog.com is previous to blogger.
You might want to take a look at Joomla.

I looked at the other two, staying with blogger.
