Need beginner kit

a friend came over tonight with her daughter and I showed them how to make beads. My friend wants to get her daughter a beginner kit for her birthday. The one I bought had a hot head, glasses and everything else but I can't seem to find one that complete anymore.

Any suggestions where I could find one?

Here's a link to one of the WC vendors:

http://www.hotheadsource.com/

You can pick up safety glasses at the hardware store, or if you want didy's or Aura lens, you can order them from the sellers.

Re: Need beginner kit

Heritage Glass has a complete kit (that does NOT include the glasses) for $100. It's how I started and Molly is well known in the glass community and is very nice. She ships immediately and packages very well. Before I found a local source, I ordered from her on a regular basis. She has all kinds of goodies, so check out her site and have fun!!

Re: Need beginner kit

Frantz Art Glass has a beginners kit that includes glass, fiber blanket, tools, hot head (or Fireworks Torch), Cindy Jenkins book, fiber blanket, glasses, bead release, etc... looks like all you need is a person ready to sit down and make beads. It has everything.

I would check it out on the web site and yet call to order. They do ship quickly and are nice to talk to.

What a great birthday gift!!!

I don't know why the link did not turn blue, but try this:

www.frantzartglass.com

In the upper left-hand corner type in 101104 and hit the "Search" button. It will come right up. You can "enlarge" to see the whole kit.

Re: Need beginner kit

thanks everyone! Looks like the "standard" kit does not include glasses anymore. Jodel's site is blank when I pull up beginner kits so I'll direct the mom to ebay (she's a pro) and Heritage which seems to have the best deal on the standard kit. Hanna can use my old glasses if need be or mom can buy a set for her.
