The Woods

This is my first post in acrylic, I have been posting in watercolour for several years but through a class I have joined I have branched out a little. The painting is 22 x 16 canvas, thanks for looking in.

Re: The Woods

Very attractive, and very, very green.

I get the feeling that I can almost hear the sound of birds, muffled by the undergrowth; and hear water dripping from the vegetation.

Re: The Woods

Welcome to the forum John.

It is very green - but a nice soft green ... nice feeling of misty morning.

Re: The Woods

Branched out - you say - ha, ha that bit made me laugh !

I think this is very good - can almost expect something mysterious to come through the middle of the painting.

Re: The Woods

The green really sets a mood and seeing the "shaggy" lines on the trees makes me believe they have been there for a LONG time. I want to walk through the break you have and go farther in and explore. I like it a lot.
