From there to here...
In 2006, I took my first "portrait" of my son, though I had no idea what I was doing at the time and only had a "kit" lens on my Nikon D50 and shared it here in the darkroom. I have since learned an overwhelming amount of information about portraiture and started my own business (which will move with me this summer to Korea as we PCS with the Army). I've upgraded to a Nikon D90 and have a few different lenses, and finally know what to do with them--it's been an amazing journey and I learn more every day and at every shoot! Just thought I'd share with you all where I started and then a few from my most recent sessions.
Where I started:
And from my most-recent sessions:
1) 35mm f/2.4 - 1/250 ISO 320
2) 35mm f/4 - 1/250 ISO 640
3) 35mm f/2.4 - 1/125 ISO 200
4) 18-200 @ 200mm f/6.3 - 1/180 ISO 160

Hi Alishia ~ long time no contact!
These are beautiful, I especially like #2 - gorgeous.
Lovely light in the last one.
You've certainly improved technically speaking - your eye has always been good :-)

Aww, thank you Carol & Rich! It's taken awhile to get here and there's always more to learn, I am loving where I am with my photography right now and grateful to those here who were so encouraging to me in the beginning when I just liked taking pictures...if it wasn't for the encouragement here on this forum and the help of those willing to share their knowledge of photography, I might have given it up--thank you

Re: From there to here...
These are wonderful.
You have captured beatiful images of these children.
Hopefully you will be allowed to use these as samples of your work, it should bring you lots of business.

Luv2shoot, I always obtain model releases from my clients to use the images captured to build my portfolio, so I will definitely be using them! Thanks so much!
