Buffy (cat)
One of our three cats Buffy our friendly cat (we also have a bossy one and a talkative one) is always posed by our bathroom window as thereis a birds nest within or roof directly above the window. I took this fantasticphoto and just had to paint her.
This is the second stage of under painting, furring detail next, C&C welcome oils
Painting joy

Re: Buffy (cat)
Yes Robert she a beauty alright, thanks.
Thanks Bertino, Buffy is the wife fav so must painting her furrrrrfect (sorry couldn’t resist)
Thank you Chammi, yes a luck snap of the camera by me, capture a lovely image of light.
Laurie, those eyes of Buffys are so beautiful I stare into them every time she comes up to my face for a nose to nose smell before I’m aloud to smooth her. Thank you too. This is oils. I think I'll keep the black, but might put a hint of surface Buffy resting on. I want all the focus on her.
I’m painting her right now; I’ll take a photo later before the sun goes.

That eye looks fantastic Gary. Her nose looks too long though.

Re: Buffy (cat)
Looking great so far, she is a fabulous looking cat. We have to have our fingers sniffed and washed by our cat before we are allowed her touch her royal personage.

Re: Buffy (cat)
Thanks Frank, Your right about the nose it’s not sloping enough according to photo-shop overlap, and the ears are not far enough back, but if I tilt the head they line up great but the nose needs to slope a touch near the eye, Simple to remedy.
Thanks Lisa, yes we must obey our cats or our lives will be made hell with loud meows.
Thanks Jason, I hope so, the furring is looking good so far I’ve only done the under shadows and some back detailing.
Tried to get a good photo but no good so I’ve scanned it in, still look shinny, I’ll try again in the dark.

Re: Buffy (cat)
Thanks Jim, glad you like my approach to painting.
Peggy those eyes are much better in real life, those in the painting will be having another coat of colour to give them more zap.
Lexycat, many thanks Buffy is the first of our second generation of three cats.
Yes Kevin as I mention above they are better in real life.
Here an update, I’ve added the furring detail all over just some tweaking left on shadows and highlights. C&C welcome. A better photo too
A close up
Painting fun
Gary
