pinen is turpentine in english.

literal translation oil of pine

Re: Next reproduction from Russia : a copy from a picture of Alma-Tadema

Hello Olga,
I am new to this webpage, and was jumping around looking at different artist works. I must say that I am stunned at the beauty with which you put to canvas. Your layered style really impresses me. I am 70 and I paint wet on wet were most of my colors are blended on canvas to get the tones of color I want. I am going to study a little and try layering as you do, What percentage of your paints are of a transparent color. I have been to your website, and all your work is so fantastic. I wish I could read Russian to understand what you have writen.. Thank You for posting such great work...

WOW.....a masterpiece.... the seven layer method really seems to build it up nicely....is this method from the Russian/flemish Masters.....will do some research. You must be very happy with the result.
