Back to the lino cutting..

(with apologies to Beesinart )

My entry into the 4th international biennale of ex libris.
This biennale's subject is communism, and I have used the motiff of one of the few successful communist 'states', bees. A reduction lino-cut 12cm by 6.

That is great, Greg... I LOVE bees- That is a really effective print. To me- It's got a lot of 'motion' to it- as if the bees are doing their 'dance'... Great stuff there.

Greg

nice work
agree with Andrew
the little marks in the print outside of the honeycone and bees also adds energy to this.

How did I miss this?! It's delightful and I agree about the 'energy' lines... Nice colors...

Re: Back to the lino cutting..

Thanks folks.
I am rather untidy with my block prints, but I like to show the work process as part of the works. I have the lettering block made and printed onto the ex-libris itself and It has been framed and packed ready for posting when the Post office re-opens. I'm that it does as well or better than 2010's entry into the Biennale.
