Thanks for the great choices, Mary! And thanks for sending the larger image of Buck! Mary explained this is a Great Pyrenees that was bred to guard stock for shepherds.

This is oil on 6x6 canvas panel. I started out with the intent of 100% painting knife. But I became impatient and resorted to the loaded brush about halfway through.

You captured him so well. He is a large breed of dog, but he is lovable, unless you are a critter trying to get to his charges, which are the alpaca's. He is with them continually and watches over them.Thank you so much for doing him. I will show my kids when they come on Sun. Yes, they are still my kids even if they are both in their 50's now.

Now that is adorable! That bright yellow and red bg really makes him pop. The brush/palete knife look as great on his fur as the bg. You never disappoint us Deano!
