Bearcreekartist - we have people from around the world this morning. Where is Bear Creek? Sounds like north west country.

Re: Homework Essentials of Painting Rocks- Week 1

I couldn't get out to sketch rocks (ours around here were left by the glacier so they're rounded) so I used some photos I took in Kansas & New Mexico many years ago.

Take a photo, download to computer..then go to post a message here but use the advanced option to bring up the attachment option (paperclip) or, better, use the little picture with mountain and sun that is to insert. Insert your photo from where it is stored on your computer when the window comes up to browse for the photo and to download it.

Re: Homework Essentials of Painting Rocks- Week 1

Missed getting this posted before class started had to finish my Pastel tabby cat
Better late than never I guess
This is the first ever rocks I've drawn and I'm sure I need more practice. Can't wait for this weeks homework to be posted.
I think groups are much easier to draw than by themselves!

Oh and I still need to get a proper drawing of the ones by themselves. The last one was an absolute FLOP and I refuse to post it

EDIT: to add a few individual ones.

My effort: I straightened the picture and it looks as if the rocks are not balanced right...should have left it the way it was.

I am going to try to watch on April 7th at 3am from Melbourne Aussieland. I thought it would be OK to tune in round 2.30am not three hours before(?).

I'm lucky to live where there is only a three hour (earlier) difference in time when it is broadcast. Of course, on the other side of the earth you are not so lucky and must get up in the wee hours of the morning to participate. Did I maybe confuse some people with my statement about living in So. California?
