I love the shells! I especially love that you pick up the crowns that most people overlook because they aren't "perfect". I use them with other shells and natural elements I find on the beach. Keep it up!

Hi I am new to this "blog" but I made jewelry for about 15 years but always interested in other stuff too like quilting etc. Took dyeing, breakdown printing, shibori and other lessons too. Right now I am into shibori and indigo dyeing. I am in the process of starting a blog called Dyeing-Art and selling on etsy with the name of Spreen Designs.

Really nice with the wiring of the shells. Are you sticking to a particular metal? Gold, copper or silver?

Hello! My name is Kariti. I'm 24, and I have been beading for around 2 years now. I did dabble in beading when I was much younger, so I wasn't completely a stranger to the concept. I do a lot of different kinds. I am able to work with seed beads, wire, fibers (such as macrame or crochet). I am learning to be a lapadarist.(sp?) (Basically it means I am learning to cut and polish stones into shapes for pendants and other such uses.) I currently live in Orlando, FL. No I don't go to Disney Land or Universal every week lol. That is about all I can think of. Thank you for having me here. This forum is awesome! Feel free to message me anytime, I'm a super friendly person who loves to chat.

Re: Jewelry Artisans and Wearable Art Artists please post your introductions?

I can begin my story actually started with my passion for fashion - my liking for shoes, watches got me started creating my own jewelry. After which I opened my own online jewelry store FashionJewelryForEveryone.com where I started selling my own handmade jewelry. Then with God's grace I have expanded and now sell more than just my jewelry.

Please visit my store and let me know what do you think about the handcrafted jewelry you see on the site.

Thanks.

Beautiful rings, Michael. We need all the help we can get in this forum to get it to pick back up. It's been pretty dead for a while.

Re: Jewelry Artisans and Wearable Art Artists please post your introductions?

These sea shell pendants are looking beautiful having fine cut. Definitely want to try this. I love jewellery very much and I have the habit of designing jewellery by myself. It interests me a lot and feels very special when wearing it. I have been searching for the web for the homemade jewelry business plan. Could anyone please here suggest me some best tips on how to start homemade jewelry business ? Thanks in advance.

hello, I am a clay person working in wheel thrown functional and realistic sculpture. A couple of months ago I ventured into disks of clay and drew on them and underglazed them and am now totally hooked on exploring so much more.

Re: Jewelry Artisans and Wearable Art Artists please post your introductions?

Hi Everyone,
It's been a long time since I've been on WC... just got side tracked! But here I am now and it was very interesting reading about all of you... and some beautiful jewelry for sure...
Anyway, I'm not sure I can remember when I started doing jewelry... but I do know that there is many chapters to the book of jewelry making and I've done or tried most of them. I guess the things I do the most is "Stitching and metal repurpose"... meaning I make silverware jewelry.

Sorry about the photo being so big... I don't know how to size it !
I am a jewelry teacher for South Florida State College (Community Ed Dept). The college owns an old vintage hotel in great condition and still used as a hotel and many of the college offices are in it along with dorms. Six artists group together and have a gallery and class room in the hotel thru the college... it works out great! We sell and teach ... we have been doing this for 5 years now.
Anyway, I also have a studio about 2 miles from my home that I work in and teach Art Marketing Classes in... I only do two a season so I'm not working all the time.

Have I bragged enough ??? I'm just so proud and it has been years getting here ! Sorry about hogging so much space...

Kathy
