Hairdresser to the Stars!

Last night was the monthly portrait group and Helen of Wales was the model .

Helen is a hairdresser and when I phoned her to check that she knew she was the model, I found that she was at the rehearsals for a new play by the "National Theatre of Wales" the director had called her in to do the hair styling for the cast!!

Dave

PS If I don’t reply to your comments it’s because I’m away over Easter racing motorbikes.

Hi Maria, Thanks for looking in, I still get really annoyed with myself for continually getting the eye’s so wrong.

Re: Hairdresser to the Stars!

Hi Sascha, It’s 9"x12" inches I use my pochade box. When I made the box I intended it for Plein Air sketches but it’s just the job for portrait and life sessions. Before I used to use my french easel, but found 12"x18" or bigger is just to big and I struggled to get that much paint down in the three hours.

Now then Carol you know better than that there are so many things wrong with this portrait I could spend the rest of the evening numerating them.

Yes in a fatherly sort of way Susan, Helen is a great character and we are lucky to have such models. Because I run two groups I get to know the models which is a privilege.
