100% failure rate with RIL Uploads

Hey there.. I have been a member since Feb and have tried usually about 1-5 times a week to upload to the RIL. Posts I have searched have said that it can be buggy and to keep trying, but I finally feel like I must be missing something.

I have a Mac and have realized that can create some issues right off the bat.

I have tried single file upload, under 3.0 meg, from Safari, from firefox, from Chrome, I have tried several different files.

Every time I get the same failure message:

/var/www/wetcanvas.com/RefLib/uploads/1019242: Error creating directory (check permissions).

Please notify the System Administrator.

I can't imagine that after approximately 40 or so attempts over a 2 month period that includes days, weeknights, middle of the night is just a buggy server.

Is there any ideas for what I can do? I really want to be a full fledged member here and that would help round out my contribution.

Hi Jess - I'm sorry to say that the issue may still be the Uploader in RIL

Unfortunately, there's nothing any of us can do to correct things - we just have to hope that all issues may be resolved by WC within a few months

I hate to say 'keep trying' the single uploads but that's the only advice we can offer unfortunately. Sorry

Try using a different browser. The RIL uploader does come and go but shouldn't fail long term. I haven't had a failure for some time with Firefox.
