Question BFK Rives & Oil Based Ink

New to printmaking and new here. As a fairly new printmaker I am well supplied with a lot of failed prints. I would like to reuse the BFK to make some handmade paper.

What are my options for getting rid of black oil based ink? Can it be floated to the top of paper slurry and skimmed off?

Any suggestions appreciated. thank you, old woman witch

You could try to sand/scratch it off the top of the paper. You might try a batch before you work very hard to remove the ink. It may be hard to notice. I've used shredded office paper, and not been able to see the printing in the finished paper.
