I completed this in early 2011, whilst I have done a few this year that I think come close this was one of the first that I was very pleased with. at this point I had been drawing less than a year 
A4 Size, Graphite or course with a charcoal base overlaid with graphite to get the background.

Faber Castel polychrome pencils on Bristol Board....this is a portrait of one of my dearest friends Dan Martin....I didn't do alot of drawings in 2011 but I think is is probably my favorite of that year and it also came in Second place at a local art show...so am very pleased with this piece

I drew this in 2011...using charcoal paper and erasing out the highlights. Titled "Why?"

I did this as one of my final pieces for an animal portrait course. The reference was a photo which I took myself of a lovely tiger in Dublin zoo who seemed happy to pose for me. It is mainly pastel pencils on suede matboard and I'm quite happy with it!

Finally able to upload a photo (from a bigger faster server at work mwah hah hah!  )
Otters, not the best I've done this year, but my favorite because it kept me entertained during lots of time in doctors' waiting rooms.

I consider this drawing the best I have made in 2011
I usually draw or paint animals, this was something completely different and fun to find out that I was able to draw this too

This I was drawing for my Nana - before I was able to give it to her, she took a turn for the worse and died shortly afterwards. This drawing is very precious to me.
Prismacolor pencils on Ampersand Pastelbord. 11x14 (I think).
