Through a Dragon's Eye, x-post photo
It is rumored that dragons do not see very well. They are also rumored they see everything in shades of red... a tree in a clearing as they wander about.
another tree in another part of the forest

a sleeping dog in the warmth of the afternoon sun is spotted
the guard dog awakens the farmer and the dragon retreats
some fun with an old Kodak Advantix p&s digital and a sheet of wavy red stained glass. Odd effects.
but the stuff about dragons really is true...
Life is good!

Interesting idea and nice take on it with the red glass and photos. Sorry for taking awhile to respond.
Personlly always thought dragons had good vision...maybe some lesser species or smller dragons see like this...it does intrigue me.

Chaosia: I tried to get an appointment with the dragon's optometrist, but she was booked solid and had no time for a mere mortal.
Maybe the rumor is NOT true, perhaps the red-eye syndrome is a rare illness afflicting only the one dragon I was speaking to that day....

Dragons are real, and I can prove it, too. If you hit your thumb with the hammer, everyone knows that pain is real.
Okay.
But also, if you get humiliated in front of friends, that pain is just as real, even worse! That's the realm where dragons live and fly, for real!
My opinion, anyway. I'm fascinated with dragons and their meaning. I enjoyed your prose about dragons, too, Birdhs.
