I'd say you've got that Gouache working for you really well! I like the way you've treated the foliage and the movement of the water.

My kind of painting! Love the colors, your fresh application of paint and the strokes. Come visit up at the Gouache Corner over in the Watercolor Studio....

Re: Stream Study

Thanks Deborah. I have been looking at your work as I'm getting to know gouache. I do visit the Gouache Corner. I'm kind of intimidated by it!

Ah, it's just us. C'mon over and visit, if not play. We're going to do WIPs in April, but you don't have to show the steps--just the work, if you like.

Your painting is marvelous! I hope you do join us at the Gouache Corner. I'm a newbie myself and it is a very supportive group of people.

Re: Stream Study

I love this painting - wonderful colours and tone - fresh direct painting - beautiful. It looks like gouache is working for you - not like me where I work hard for IT lol.
I for one don't usually check out this forum as there doesn't seem to be a lot on gouache. Deborah pointed me here . Do join in the gouache corner - they are a very supportive bunch. I almost gave gouache away this month but a little encouragement helped me back on track.
