drypoint prints using watercolour pencils

Ive been learning about drypoint prints using acrylic sheet and my teacher mentioned someone in her class using watercolour pencils rubbed into the scratched lines for colour so I thought Id give it a go. what do you think?

Also included is one of my "normal" drypoints
Apologies for the quality of the scans (and the prints )

Interesting use of watercolor pencils... I really like how the bird came out. It would never have occurred to me. I'm assuming your paper is wet when you pull these?

Wow these look good. I've never really gotten the hang of watercolor art. I find it a bit harder than everything else because the ink tend to go to places where I don't want them to. I guess I'm not that good.
