low cost way of mounting/framing paper?

I'm an abstract artist and I usually paint on pre-stretched canvases and for the most part not a problem.. every so often I do treat myself to an ampersand gessobord or hardbord - I just love those for scratching and scraping/stamping into because of how solid they are.. however they ain't cheap!

I really do love to paint on paper especially the hot pressed 300lb.. however, in order to get those read to hang at a competition or wherever.. it requires an expensive custom frame.. wow, very expensive indeed. so.. I don't paint much on paper.. but I would love to do more painting on paper. I love the surface, I love being able to scrap on paper.. wonderful stuff it is..

is there any method or ?? that would allow me to hang a matted paper painting somehow? or a low cost way of framing this? or any other solution?

Since the frame is the most costly portion of framing, you could try using Swiss Clips and go frame-less. Glaze with acrylic or edge reamed glass, then mat as usual, but use Swiss Clips to hold it all together. It's sleek and modern looking and works great.

How about just using inexpensive metal frames.
