Thanks for the nice words about my work and my website. I'll try and post some process posts here in the forum soon. These two pieces had very different processes.
The soda piece started with a crayon sketch.

Afterward, I made shapes with the pen tool in illustrator, and decided to challenge myself to work without lines as much as possible. This is probably the most time consuming and tedious part of the process.
Then, I went into photoshop and added a vintage paper texture scanned from an old book and some scans of dry brushstrokes to give it that worn print look that you can see above in the original post. The paper layer is set at a lower opacity on the multiply blending mode.
As for the Mario piece. I had sketched some Super Mario and Gumba doodles with oil pastel that I decided to use in a digital collage.
