Re: Scavenger Hunt #260 - 10 - 18 March
Hi, All y'all! Gene discovered the other day that y'all is singular and all y'all is plural. Ha. Anyway, the grandkids are gone and now we go to Oklahoma to UT Baseball against Oklahoma Sooners and visit a blogging buddy.
And, look who's back. Cairo, welcome, so lovely to see your work!!!
I can't comment to all, but wanted to have one sketch at least. I sketched on the iPad with "Spray Paint" I took a photo of the table and then sketched with my finger the pepper mill. Lots of fun. I have sooo many new red things in the kitchen.
Number 1, Red
I agree on your sundae, I had a Dairy Queen Blizzard today so that was my lunch. Good though. I have to break down every couple of months or so and get a Dairy Queen.
Will comment another time. Love all the work and will see you on the next Hunt. We should be back on Monday night.
I posted but had to come back and say how neat all the jewelry was, Bonnie!!

Re: Scavenger Hunt #260 - 10 - 18 March
The TV show is over that I wanted to watch and I've come back to comment.
Vivien - adorable soft toys - nicely painted - great memories to have (I'll have to try to gather up some of the ones from my son and grandson and paint them)
M50paul - brass lamp with shade my favorite - very nicely rendered - the shells remind me of my favorite place for vacation - the beach - liked all
meisie - what a cute blue "Eye Bod" - made me laugh to look at it - I'm glad you showed us what it is used for as I have never seen anything like it before.
"J" - what a sweet collection have have created - really nice
JoanT - Well you have transported me to a beach where I would like to be - all are beautiful
Eye - thank you for sharing the photos of the young artists - you and your friend have given these children a wonderful gift - something they will never forget - you never know what you have started - we hope you have inspired them to keep art in their lives as a way of expressing themselves
Jacquip - lovely paintings - interesting candle holder
Eyepaint - nice impressionistic paintings
Kivrin65 - Deepest Sympathies on the passing of your Father - I like to share the following poem as it meant a lot to me when my own Father passed over 10 years ago:
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle Autumn's rain
When you awaken in the morning's gentle hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft star that shines at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die
I am with you always
Author - unknown
PS - glad you were able to participate - lovely
Artastic - wonderful selection of earrings - clever and well drawn interpretations for this weeks challenge
Cairomum love the Buddhist painting and catkins
Jo - interesting computer sketch - haven't had the opportunity to try it yet

JOan that raspberry jam looks tasty. Lovely lavender bag. Very realistic chocolate and wrapper. Nice mint life saver. Beautiful seashell colours.
Cairo those catkins look so delicate and soft, beautiful Very nice job on the Buddist deity. Sounds like you have some great places to visit around home.
Jo fantastic job on the pepper mill. I had to actually look really closely to see the part you had done it was so realistic.
Tresgatos stunning purple iris. Thanks.
I have a few to post when I get around to taking photos. Great work everyone.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #260 - 10 - 18 March
4. grey - small stone buddha statue - watercolour
5. orange - flowers - pen and watercolour
6. silver - car - pen and watercolour. I am really bad at drawing cars
7. steel - giant gas container outside tyre store - pen and watercolour

The second page was done in my A5 sketchbook while waiting at the bus stop to come home from school. I felt very nervous sketching in public even if the only people around were ones walking past.

Bonnie- So sorry your Dad passed away, too. I think my sister and I have grown closer. I do treasure the memories. Love the Caran D'ache water soluble crayons. They are very vibrant. When you add water, they become even more bold.
Tresgatos- What a lovely poem. Thank you for sharing
Everyone is doing a great job. No time to comment right now. We are doing relatively o.k.
