Re: Siberian White Tiger two
Thanks Karen,
Jason’s (onlineart) work in progress threads are the ones to study. He’s more than helpful to us all.
I’m a bit hit and miss messy painter who get there eventually. I show most of my work as they progress and most turn out satisfactory for me personally. I just enjoy painting, it’s like an addiction and sometimes I turn out a cracking image.

Re: Siberian White Tiger two
I really like all of the different colors you're using in the fur Gary. I always enjoy watching your WIPs, and I'm excited to see this one progress!

I like how this is coming along, and especially like your use of different colours in the fur.

Re: Siberian White Tiger two
Many Thank Jason & Nickib for your inspiriting kind comments.
Yes Dave and thanks, I feel I’m getting what I want out of this image.
Kind thanks Karen, Closeup give you more insight into the simple brush work.
Following Jason technique for fine detailing is probably amongst one of the best styles on wet canvas in oils. The trick is for fur to stand out as fur they should be detailed over a darker dried under paint. This can be done during many stages of glazes, allowing each glazed detail to dry before the next.
As I’ve said before I have more of a sloppy style of a similar technique which is practised by Jason to perfection. So following his book is a great idea.
