Nice photo. Where's your painting?
OK seriously, everything has been covered here. Excelent technical skill. Nice composition as well. I really like the vertical grasses compared to the rounded feathers, these patterns together remind me of the elegant, stylized posters from the 1900s. Color choices, the blues and yellows compliment each other so well. Cranes show - I'll bet you'll take 1st.

Thank you again for all the nice comments! I was surprised to see this thread show up again. The show went quite well and had a lot of nice paintings juried in, but unfortunately this painting was passed over for any awards. It did sell however, as well as another of mine, so I didn't leave disappointed. Thank you again for the positive feedback!
