Re: Lobster floats in Maine

Delightful work, Robert. An unusual place to put floats, but they certainly dress up the building.

Re: Lobster floats in Maine

Great job on the building, Robert. I'm sure that painting all those floats was very tedeous. This is going to sound funny, but they remind me of colorful mice all climbing up the side of the building at the same time. Like if the Pide Piper of Floats was standing on the roof, tooting for them. Well done!

Re: Lobster floats in Maine

Robert this is a beautiful painting and really well rendered. The building's rugged shingles from being beat'n by sea-spray and usual unpredicted weather in Maine are perfectly done, as are the lobster floats.

Yes, in Maine those floats hang on the sides of buildings. Your wonderful painting takes me back to a place where such a building exists, we ate dinner at a small place on the dock every Sunday evening during seasonal months in Freeport, ME (for clam chowder and fresh fried fish sandwich). A wonderful time! Thanks - Mary

Re: Lobster floats in Maine

Very nicely done Robert...Looks like a very interesting building and the buoys only make it more so. As for the acrylics give it time I think you will really enjoy the medium.
