Compost WIP

I started this at the start of the summer, hoping to submit it to a little competition. But life took over, and I am just getting back to it.

The title is "Compost."

Applique, hand made elements, multiple layers of fabric, stitch, needle felting. I have more quilting and embellishment to do yet, but thought I'd show what I have been up to. There is a line across the middle, from where I have joined two scanned images.

Re: Compost WIP

Such an original idea! There are so many interesting elements to look at and different textures too. The fish skeleton with the button(?) eye is great and the orange peel bits made me smile..I look forward to seeing the finished piece.
