Last weekend i had the luck to meet germany´s most favourite marine artist Uwe Luetgen at the marine museum in Hamburg. I was in Hamburg because Roger Waters / Pink Floyd played the huge "The Wall" show in the O2 Arena there.
So i took the opportunity to be in Hamburg quite early to have time to visit the marine art dept. in the maritime museum. If one´s going to visit Hamburg, - have a look. It`s great.
So i had a chat with Uwe about his choice of images and especially about his way to paint the rigging.
He was just working on a 1910 yacht picture. Every saturday he is there for around two hrs. His site:

I really enjoyed it.
The reason why i didn´t post a marine painting for while is that i was busy with painting dogs, dog´s bones, dog´s walking faults and so on. The breeder lady where we got our australian shepherd from is writing a book about them and she wanted me to paint the images for it. So i did. And it took month´s now. But it´s finished now and i can go back to what i really like to paint.
So, - see you soon!
