The Old Ship

I may have put this in sometime ago. Like years ago!! Just wanted to share this one. 22" x 28" Oil painting.

I have not been painting with oil for some time but it would be fun to take on a larger piece with oil. Been using acrylic for some time.

Re: The Old Ship

Gorgeous rendition of a tall ship, Jim. Love your palette and the perspective of the ship. The purples and greens in the water work really well together.

Great piece to share Jim, especially with that dappled sky and colorful sails!

Re: The Old Ship

Hi Jim,
Wonderful use of color in the painting. I really like to see how other artists handle the color of the sails on these ships. That old canvas has really been handled so differently by many but it is what always gets my attenttion with these old ships right away. Very nice Jim.
