Those darks do make a BIG difference.

The area around the highlights has been scrubbed so much it is like blotting paper now. But that's a good idea if I redo this.

Tom,
When doing a metallic surface in the future, I will definitely preserve my highlights with masking fluid first. A big mistake not to do it this time.

Thanks for the tip on the different effect the surface metal makes on the transitions.
