Olin Corporation, Kimber Arms Co, Freedom Arms Corp, and Cherry’s Fine Guns, The Cody Fire Arms Museum and The Eli Whitney Museum and many private collectors have purchased his engravings.
Also, both Christies and Butterfield and Butterfield Auction houses have sold many of his works... Since retirement, Joseph has been selected for Who’s Who in Engraving
Many of his writings, drawings, photographs and intaglio prints are archived in the McCracken Library His bronzes, prints and drawing are scattered across the Uninted States, England, France, Canada and Italy, His self published A Gifted Man has been read and praised by readers from places as far away and as diverse as South Africa, Japan ,and Germany.
Recently, Joseph has taken up the Art of Oil Painting on linen canvas.
This is his first public showing and sale of his arts in a decade.
The thought behind these paintings.
Joseph’s training as an engraver, influencing life experiences, and deep personal faith in a Supreme Power beyond his understanding, reflects in his writings, and paintings.
If you look at each one, you will find symmetry and balance in the positive and negative spaces that his pallet of bright clean colors creates.
These works of art demonstrate that Joseph has a clear understanding of what is important in achieving a peaceful and happy life. (Shown with his Self Portrait, or the Girl With a Kite.) Look at the small boy playing on the beach with his toys building castles. That is how Joseph sees himself.
Artist put a stamp on there work by attaching themselves to the work with a signature. Joseph has signed his works with his name and a fingerprint.
What he believes to be most unique in these paintings is the ability to take an Idea or a word and turn it into a visible expression as he has done with Arial View of a Soccer Game, The Internet, Religion, War, The Olympic Games, and other concepts.
Please attend the showing and enjoy his work.
